Artist Statement: Lioness Spirit

There’s this pressure in our society to hustle and be productive all the time. People forget that rest is necessary for us to be our best selves and do our best work.

I chose the Lioness to emphasize feminine energy. Masculine energy revolves around action and movement while feminine energy is more about our intuition and our emotions.

I wanted to bring forth the need for balance of these two energies. That in times of being busy and working on achieving our goals, it’s okay to rest.
